"The thank you video above, is based on our first orphanage project. It can take a long time to find trustworthy people to work with. There is always a degree of uncertainty. Can the recipient be trusted? Will they take the money and run? Are they scamming us? These are all real concerns, that we are all familiar with. This is why we test people first. This is why we do our best to look into causes to see if they are legitimate and credible. Over the years, I have found that approximately 1 in every hundred pass the test. Sometimes the evidence is obvious. At other times, it is a case of following the still, small voice of the Holy Spirit, and taking a chance on a person or a cause. There are many times that we say no.
It is with the above in mind, that I am happy to report that the project to help build a school / orphanage is progressing very well. To say the least, I am impressed! I sent the funds through, and within less than a week, there were videos and photos of the work done so far.
The thank you video comes from from this project. I think it says a lot about the project, the people we are helping, the lives we are impacting, and the deep gratitude they have for the help we are giving.
I know that words cannot express the impact of your gift enough. Maybe it will help to know that these children will grow up under a roof we helped to create, so that they could find safety, and shelter from the rain, sun, and storms. And that alone is worth a lot.
